Hurd backs transparency over cash for volunteers

Civil society minister, Nick Hurd, has pledged to increase the transparency in public spending for the voluntary sector.

Civil society minister, Nick Hurd, has pledged to increase the transparency in public spending for the voluntary sector.

The minister made the commitment after meeting with representatives from the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations' (ACEVO) commission on the Big Society.
