IER shift moves to December after Lords backing

Government efforts to fast-track transition to Individual Electoral Registration (IER) have been narrowly passed in the House of the Lords.

Government efforts to fast-track transition to Individual Electoral Registration (IER) have been narrowly passed in the House of the Lords.

Peers last night voted by 257 to 246 to approve a Government order bringing forward the move to IER from December 2016 to just five weeks away.
