In my first few years in my current job, I found that as I described to people the sort of things I covered, I had a standard concluding line which went something like, 'Oh, and of course, there are some things related to the Olympics.'

These days, I increasingly find myself starting with the forthcoming games and Paralympics when I have that same conversation. Now, don't get me wrong. Compared with many, the part we hope to play will be very much at the margins of what people see as the games.
