'Improve links' to help disabled, councils told

Scope, the disabilities charity, has called on town hall bosses to look at how they can improve the services on offer for disabled people.

The charity and the New Economics Foundation think-tank published a joint report at this year's annual Society Of Local Authority Chief Executives' summit in Coventry, which called on local government to improve services by developing stronger links with the third sector.
