Care bosses have urged health and social care systems to improve their joint work on behalf of people with learning difficulties, following the Winterbourne View scandal.

Speaking after the publication on 10 December of the Government's final report into the abuse of vulnerable residents at the Bristol care home, president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, Sarah Pickup, said last year's scandal ‘perfectly illustrates' the need to personalise services.
