Vulnerable groups are being rendered ‘almost invisible by significant gaps' in councils' data on minorities, an expert has warned.

Programme director at the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Colin Douglas, told The MJ the lack of data held by local authorities was having an effect on their ability to assess the impact of their policies.
