Only inner London has returned to pre-recession levels of job creation

All parts of the country aside from inner London have failed to return to pre-recession levels of job creation, TUC study shows.

All parts of the country aside from inner London have failed to return to levels of job creation last witnessed before the onset of the 2008 recession, the Trades Union Congress has reported.

Findings from research written by Tony Wilson and Pual Bivand of the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion indicate metropolitan areas, including London, Birmingham and Tyne and Wear are returning to growth faster than their neighbouring rural areas.
