Barnet LBC's leader, Cllr Richard Cornelius, has informed councillors that Andrew Travers has been appointed interim chief executive for the next six months, subject to full council's approval.

Mr Travers, who is currently deputy chief executive at the authority, said: 'This is an exciting moment to be appointed interim chief executive at Barnet.
