Interim head to continue at Tower Hamlets

The current head of paid services at Tower Hamlets is to continue in the role until October 2014.

Stephen Halsey, Tower Hamlet's interim head of paid service, whose contract was due to end this month, is to continue in his role until October 2014, following a recent decision by the full council.

Mr Halsey became interim head of paid service in July 2012, after Labour councillors and the independent mayor were unable to agree on a candidate to replace chief executive Kevan Collins who had left a year before.
