Government intervention in failing councils could be made far more positive, the interim chief executive of troubled Liverpool City Council has claimed.

Government intervention in failing councils could be made far more positive, the interim chief executive of troubled Liverpool City Council has claimed.

Theresa Grant, who has served as the interim chief for both Liverpool and Northamptonshire CC under intervention, said councils may be more open to support if there was less stigma involved and it was ‘done in a more low key way'.
