A report into the disposal of radioactive waste in Cumbria has called for local communities to be involved in future decisions about where it should be placed.

The West Cumbria Managing Radioactive Waste Safety Partnership's final report will go to Allerdale BC, Copeland BC and Cumbria CC shortly, so local members can decide whether to take part in further studies about storing contaminated waste in the county.
