Isle of Wight cuts chief exec pay

Isle of Wight Council has decided to cut the pay of its top job - and extended its interim arrangements for a further year - as part of a package of moves to cut costs.

Isle of Wight Council has decided to cut the pay of its top job - and extended its interim arrangements for a further year - as part of a package of moves to cut costs. 

The interim post, currently filled by Dave Burbage, was originally planned to run until 1 April 2014, but has been extended for a further year. A council spokesman told The MJ the decision was unanimous, 'but still needs to go to full council.'
