The coronavirus pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on UK society, exposing many of its fault lines and shaking many people's faith in Government. But it was also a time for local government to step forward and show what it can do.

Islington LBC's priority is to create a fairer borough for everyone. We knew that without action the pandemic would only emphasise inequalities and leave vulnerable residents in a perilous position. Our approach has been that no-one is safe until everyone is safe.
