Isolation not an issue

More than half of England's health and wellbeing boards have not made isolation a priority issue, the Campaign to End Loneliness has said.

More than half of England's health and wellbeing boards (HWBs) have not made isolation and loneliness a priority issue, despite evidence indicating that it represents a serious health risk affecting nearly 3 million elderly people, the Campaign to End Loneliness has claimed.

Research reveals 67 out of the 128 HWBs to have published their strategies do not recognise the issue.
