Javid says he needs 'stronger case' on HRA

Local government secretary Sajid Javid has urged the sector to use headroom in the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) to boost his case for further action.

Speaking at the District Councils' Network national conference today, Mr Javid suggested he wanted to further increase flexibilities but needed to make a 'stronger case' to chancellor Philip Hammond.
