Walsall MBC plans to axe senior management posts in order to save £1m over the next two years. The council revealed details of its management cuts last week, but has not yet disclosed how many senior posts will be lost.

Walsall's leaders had previously announced that they must make more than 200 redundancies as part of a wider cost-saving plan.
