Joined-up vision and ambition in Lincs

A trailblazing partnership of councils in Lincolnshire provides critical mass for levelling up through collaboration. Ann McGauran reports.

South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership may be more than the sum of its parts, but the job of bringing the three members together was not a task for the faint-hearted.

Comprised of three councils – Boston BC, East Lindsey DC and South Holland DC – the sub region faces more than the average set of economic development challenges. Data released by the Office for National Statistics last week highlights that East Lindsey, with its seaside towns of Mablethorpe and Skegness, has the highest proportion of economically inactive adults in England and Wales, at 51.3%.
