Joint board will target city's health problems

All 33 of London's boroughs have joined a health improvement board.

All 33 of London's boroughs have joined a health improvement board designed to slash the £2.5bn annual cost of treating the capital's estimated 280,000 alcoholics.

Led by mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and including representatives from NHS London, the London Health Improvement Board (LHIB) will be responsible for strategic management of London's health priorities – including tackling cancer and childhood obesity.
