The joint chief executive of Cherwell and South Northamptonshire DCs has announced she will step down from her post in March after 37 years in the sector.

Sue Smith began her career in local government as a recreation assistant at Anglesey BC. She then soared up the ranks across four other councils before being moving from her post as chief executive of Harborough DC in 2011 to take up the joint role.
