Justice for looked-after kids

Concrete action needed to help looked after children caught in the justice system,argues Frances Done,chair of the Youth Justice Boad.

The failure to support consistently the needs of looked-after children has been the focus of much recent debate and discussion.

The subject has attracted the attentions of the children's improvement board of the Local Government Association, the All Party Parliamentary Group on looked-after children, and reform groups such as the Prison Reform Trust.
