No Kent backing for airport CPO

The leader of Kent CC has poured cold water on plans by Thanet DC’s new UKIP administration to compulsory purchase Manston Airport.

The leader of Kent CC has poured cold water on plans by Thanet DC's new UKIP administration to compulsory purchase Manston Airport.

Speaking at the first full council meeting (21 May) since the General Election, Cllr Paul Carter said Kent CC would not back the plans, based ‘on the information we currently have available'.
