David Miliband looks set to boldly blog where no minister has blogged before, and keep an online journal.

The local government minister is planning to become the first cabinet member to keep a blog, which will be published on the ODPM website. A spokesman for Mr Miliband said the department hoped to launch the feature soon, and it would be updated several times a week. The ‘Mili-blog' will feature the minister's views and news about department policies, and could become extremely popular among council leaders and chief executives, as the countdown to the local government White Paper continues.
