More than 80 youngsters in Knowsley MBC took part in the authority's inaugural Young People's Question Time last week – forcing local MPs, councillors and police chiefs to discuss issues of concern to them.
Many of the youngsters' concerns echoed those of austerity-era adults – preparing school-leavers for work, affordable transport, and tackling mental health challenges. The panel was chaired by Knowsley MBC chief executive, Sheena Ramsey , and included local MP George Howarth, and police chief superintendent Mike Cloherty .
