Kids' noise danger

A scheme to protect schools from aircraft noise could be putting youngsters at risk, according to Hounslow LBC.

Officers have claimed that the British Airports Authority scheme to insulate schools and other public buildings under London's Heathrow Airport flightpath needed an additional £80m to bring the work in line with national standards. ‘We need a scheme which will protect today's schoolchildren,' said head of environmental strategy, Rob Gibson.
