Kier poised to bid for rival

The Kier Group has announced it may make a rival bid for May Gurney after the support services group published plans to merge with fellow contractors Costain.

The Kier Group has announced it may make a rival bid for May Gurney after the support services group published plans to merge with fellow contractors Costain.

The group made the surprise announcement that it was 'considering its options' to the City on 27 March, just one day after Costain and May Gurney published details of their merger plans.
