Labour calls for emergency Better Care Fund debate

Labour has called an emergency debate next Monday to discuss the Better Care Fund.

Labour has called an emergency debate next Monday to discuss the Better Care Fund (BCF), which shadow health secretary Andy Burnham today warned could ‘tip the NHS over the edge'.

Speaking at the NHS Confederation conference, Mr Burnham said the BCF ‘could give integration a bad name' by merely ‘backfilling cuts' rather than generating new resources for homecare.
