Labour calls for health and social care integration

Ed Miliband is to call for the integration of health and social care services today as he launches his party's commission on care.

Labour leader Ed Miliband is to call for the integration of health and social care services today as he launches his party's commission on care.

Mr Miliband is expected to say the independent commission will look at different ways of integrating health and social care services and cite figures from the Nuffield Trust, which warns of a £29bn funding shortfall by 2020 in NHS funding.
