A senior Labour shadow cabinet minister has indicated localism will be a ‘growing theme' of Jeremy Corbyn's leadership, as the party's opposition front bench fills with local government experts.

Speaking to The MJ, Steve Reed, Labour's newly-appointed shadow minister for local government, said his party would deliver a ‘bigger voice for local government and councillors' despite having ‘undervalued' these groups in the past.
