Shadow cabinet office minister, Tessa Jowell, has called for more ‘community-led commissioning' in a new book published by think-tank, Progress.

Writing one of a number of essays in The Purple Book, Ms Jowell said the Big Society should be ‘Labour territory', and locally-based commissioning could help the party regain the initiative on the third sector.
