The WLGA's leader has been included on the shortlist of Labour candidates for the Blaenau Gwent by-election next month.

Derek Vaughan who is also leader of Neath Port Talbot CBC, has been included in the seven-strong list for the poll, which was prompted by the death of MP Peter Law, who defected from Labour and stood as an independent at the general election.
