Leading the way in youth justice

Hammersmith and Fulham LBC has received an ‘Outstanding’ rating for its Youth Justice Service. Ann McGauran talks to Jacqui McShannon and Alison Sabaroche about the council’s successful approach.

Winning an ‘Outstanding' rating from HM Inspectorate of Probation (HMIP) for a Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a rare accolade indeed.

It's an achievement Hammersmith and Fulham LBC is delighted with. In London, the local authority is one of only two YJSs to achieve this highest possible rating. So what secured this achievement, and what can other local authorities learn from it?
