The leader of Leeds City Council is the new chair of Core Cities UK, it has been announced.

Cllr Judith Blake will take over from Manchester City Council's leader, Cllr Richard Leese, who has headed the group of 10 cities for more than three years. She said: ‘Our job is to come together to create a vision for a better, more inclusive UK, where cities continue to drive social and economic progress.'
