Leeds: rate-relief strategy for social enterprises

Councillors in Leeds agree to give extra rate-relief for local social enterprises not registered as charities.

Councillors in Leeds have agreed a package of measures to give extra rate-relief for local social enterprises that are not registered as charities.

There are some 150 social enterprises in Leeds that are not formally considered charities, but city councillors are hoping the new financial support will encourage the creation of more organisations.
