Ex-Leicester chief gets interim Cardiff role

A former chief executive has been appointed as interim director for children's services at Cardiff City Council.

A former chief executive has been appointed as interim director for children's services at Cardiff City Council.

Sheila Lock, who was the top officer at Leicester City Council until the role was scrapped by directly-elected mayor Sir Peter Soulsby in August 2011, has been appointed as interim director for the next six months while the council recruits and puts in place a permanent director and an assistant director.
