LGA: Extra money crucial to fair funding review

The fair funding review will fail without extra money for the sector, Smith Square is expected to warn the Government.


In its draft response to a Whitehall consultation that closes on Monday, the Local Government Association (LGA) said the review would 'not be successful and lead to a sustainable outcome if it is not introduced alongside additional resources'.

The response read: 'The review must come alongside sufficient funding; otherwise any outcome will not be sustainable.
