The Local Government Association (LGA) has clashed swords with supermarket Iceland, after the head of the chain blamed councils for the current horsemeat scandal.

Speaking on yesterday's BBC Andrew Marr programme, the chief executive of Iceland, Malcolm Walker, said the 'problem really lies' with local authorities buying cheap food through school and other catering contracts.
