Government plans to change the rules around combined authorities and economic prosperity boards (EPBs) have been criticised as ‘relatively modest' by the Local Government Association (LGA).

In its submission to the Government's consultation on changes to the laws around combined authorities and EPBs, the LGA said they should both be given greater powers than ministers are currently proposing.
