The Local Government Association (LGA) has chosen five key pieces of legislation from the Queen's Speech to target as lobbying priorities, it has emerged.

Areas of high-profile engagement for Smith Square – which will involve briefings at every stage through parliament, working with supportive MPs and peers, media coverage and working with lead departments – include the Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill, the Housing Bill, the Education and Adoption Bill, the Enterprise Bill and the Full Employment and Welfare Benefits Bill.
