More than 1.5m homes in England do not have a smoke alarm, a new Local Government Association (LGA) poll has warned.

More than 1.5m homes in England do not have a smoke alarm, a new Local Government Association (LGA) poll has warned.

The poll also found only one in eight people test their alarms as regularly as they should do and 1% of those questioned did not know if they even had one.
