Plans by the Treasury to cash-in on right-to-buy sales could jeopardise the construction of new social housing, council chiefs have warned.

The Local Government Association (LGA) has called for changes to the Localism Bill - currently at committee stage in the House of Lords - to prevent 75% of revenue from council house sales being handed over to Whitehall.
