The LGA has warned against leaving councils with another ‘unfunded burden', as the Government gears up to reduce energy emissions.

It follows the launch of the Government's consultation on the most cost-effective measures to reduce energy emissions from large, non energy-intensive organisations by 1.2million tonnes of carbon by the year 2020.
