Leader of one of the first local authorities to share a top officer elected as chairman of the LGA's shared chief executive's special interest group.

The leader of one of the first local authorities to share a top officer has been elected as chairman of the Local Government Association's new shared chief executive's special interest group.

Cllr Neil Parkin, the leader of Adur DC, has been elected to chair the group, which will promote best practice around sharing chief executives and help local authorities thinking about moving towards a joint top officer.
