LGO reports 18% rise in adult care complaints

The number of complaints about adult social care received by the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) has risen by 18% in the last year.

The number of complaints about adult social care received by the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) has risen by 18% in the last year.

New figures published today (12 November) show the LGO received more than 2,800 complaints and enquiries about adult social care in 2014/15 and upheld 55% of cases after investigating and finding some fault with either the council or the care provider.
