LGPS pooling 'must be done in orderly way'

The pooling of Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) assets into eight organisations should be done without any loss of value, a trade body has urged. 

In a submission to a Whitehall pensions review, the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) said funds should amalgamate in a ‘pragmatic way' even though this is likely to take longer than the Government's current March 2025 deadline.
