Liberal Democrat councillors sitting on Suffolk CC have calculated that, since the Conservatives took over three years ago, the number of those earning over £50,000 at the council has increased by 41% - from 99 to 169 people.

They also found the cost of top-earners at the council has increased from £15m to £25m in the same period.
