Colleagues have praised the life and work of former Waveney BC councillor Ruth Ford who has died.

In a distinguished career of public service, Cllr Ford was a councillor from 1983 to 2010 and also chairman of the council for two years from 1991 to 1993. She also served as the Mayor of Lowestoft in 2005/06.
