Sceptical MPs have demanded urgent clarification of changes by the Government to its controversial plans relaxing planning controls on household extensions.

Last week DCLG secretary Eric Pickles bowed to Tory backbench complaints that plans to relax the controls would lead to feuds between neighbours by introducing amendments in the House of Lords to the Growth and Infrastructure Bill which were passed on Monday this week.
