An improvement of just 12% in hospital delayed discharge figures was achieved in the last financial year despite a further £600m investment in the problem.

An improvement of just 12% in hospital delayed discharge figures was achieved in the last financial year despite a further £600m investment in the problem.

At the end March there were more than 11,400 patients across England remaining in hospital beds despite being ready to leave, whereas the figure stood at around 13,000 a year earlier.
