Lincolnshire CC is the latest county to launch a campaign for a better deal from the fair funding review after claiming it has the worst settlement of all English counties.
At a London launch attended by Lincolnshire MPs including Conservative Sir Edward Leigh and Labour's Karen Lee, Lincolnshire CC leader Martin Hill said: ‘For 12 years we've had a missing millions campaign and now we have a window of opportunity with the fair funding review. If we had even the average funding level we'd have an extra £116m, a year. It's not right that some areas get more than others.'
