Litter crackdown

The LGA has welcomed new figures from the Government which show councils are cracking down on litter louts and issuing more fixed penalty notices than ever before.

‘Councils have an enviable record in ensuring people pay their fines when they are caught breaking the law,' said LGA environment board chairman, Cllr Paul Bettison.
